Accom. Comments

The comments below are from Moose Day'ers who've stayed or visited the listed accommodations.  We're only posting what has been sent to us, so if there are no comments on a particular establishment, that's no reflection on them.   It just means either none of the group has stayed their before, or none of the group has forward any comments or recommendations.

From Jerrilynn - I have stayed at the Last Resort and the Timber Lodge. Both are really neat.

The Last Resort is about 5 miles west of Roslyn past Ronald. It is very quiet row of cabins. There is no phone in the room (but a payphone is outside the restaurant on the property) and the TV doesn't have a remote but it is clean and I didn't want either of those things.

The Timber Lodge is a step up somewhat. The rooms are accessed from the inside but have balconies. The cast apparently stayed here. It is about three miles east of Roslyn in Cle Elum. There is a large parking lot behind it where semi trucks run and early morning is sometimes loud but it was tolerable. There is also a train VERY close to the back of the building which I swear runs more than once a night. They have a free continental breakfast and the people are VERY nice. Rooms are good sized with TV remotes and telephones, also air conditioning (not really needed in Roslyn).

I would recommend either one depending on what you are looking for. If you are more used to a city setting - Timber Lodge would be good. Country folk would appreciate the Last Resort more. Seems to me I paid the same price at both - about $40/night.

From Linda - Last year, I stayed at the Cascade Mountain Inn. Everything there was new and nice and comfortable. There is a breakfast bar I guess you'd call it, where you can choose from among a nice selection of breakfast items such as cereals, instant oatmeal, muffins/pastries, fruit, juices, coffee and teas. This was included with the price of the room which I believe was $55/night. There is also air conditioning. A nice place to stay.

From Barbara - I stayed at Roslyn's Harry's Inn, above Village Pizza. It has four rooms, each uniquely decorated and each with a kitchen. Breakfast items are furnished in more than adequate amounts. Cost was about $65, I think. Very cute and very nice.

From Marie (Wingmoose) - Here are a few comments on the Iron Horse Inn in South Cle Elum.  I've stayed there three years in a row.  The first two years my husband and I stayed in one of the cabooses...a really neat experience.  Last year I came by myself and stayed in one of the rooms in the main house.  The breakfasts are wonderful and the hosts are attentive and friendly.  I'll be staying there again this year.

From Susie in Roslyn - Please add the Northern Exposure Lake Lodge to the hotel motel list.  It is located on the banks of Lake Cle Elum.  It is a beautiful lodge with a fantastic view and is large enough to house about 10 people comfortably.  The phone number is 509-649-2235.
