Peg Phillips, 1918-2002
Peg Phillips, better known to legions of Northern Exposure fans as shopkeeper Ruth-Anne Miller died on November 7, 2002. She had a long and interesting life, including military wife at in Hawaii during the Pearl Harbor attack; an Everett, Washington certified public accountant and late in life, beloved actress. Although nobody can agree as to who the lead character on Northern Exposure was, I don't think anyone would disagree that without a doubt, Ruth-Anne was the most beloved character, the heart and soul of the show. She will be truly missed.
