Moose Days '99 was the first annual fan-run, fan-organized event. It was also the first event for the fans where all proceeds went to charitable and community organizations in and around Roslyn, Washington, where exterior and location shot for the CBS-Universal Television series, Northern Exposure, were filmed. The event grossed over $10,000 with funds after expenses benefiting the Roslyn library, Kiwanis, Rotary, Garden Club, Roslyn/Cle Elum Chamber of Commerce, the Warrior Booster Club and lead to the founding of a new community theater group, the Northern Lights Theatre.
