Linda's (Mtnfolk) Letter

WELL KIDS, WE DID IT !! CHALK ONE UP, IT'S IN THE BOOKS !! A BIG thank you to all who helped out--never could have done it without all the CAN-DO, POSITIVE attitudes of moosefolks! With the fans exuding the spirit of Cicely, I think we can say we are proud of the way everyone came together, contributed, and made a REAL CICELY COMMUNITY! I think Maggie would say we felt "empowered" --taking the past disappointments and turning it into the kind of community celebration such an event should be. A couple of Chris quotes come to mind (still sleep deprived, can't recall the episodes right now!)--one about being tired, but a good kind of tired, like a party that's boogied on into the night.... and the other, "I've never been so proud to be a Cicelian" What a great community of folks!

     It was quite a weekend for Kathy ("Ya sure you betcha" Kathy), as she won the quilt AND the trivia contest! Way to go! I normally wouldn't suggest playing the lottery to anyone, but maybe in this case......

     Thanks to the generous donations from A&E, many were able to take home not only nice memories, but prizes as well.

     If folks could "check-in" by posting to the list so we know everyone got back safe and sound, that would be super. Safe travels to all still making their way back!

     Well, like Joel in Midnight Sun, I've got a slight buzz from lack of sustained sleep, (you too?), but will be zipping off more emails soon......It was so great seeing the gathering of at least a portion of the Cicely community...and YES, we did keep all who couldn't attend in hearts and minds and raised toast (s!) to y'all at the Brick.....Talk to you all soon.
