Moose Days '99 July 30 - August 01 1999 Roslyn, WA USA To the undiscerning eye, Roslyn, Washington, appears to be a small but charming logging and coal mining town in the Pacific Northwest. But to fans of the now legendary CBS series, "Northern Exposure" ("NX" for short), it will always be remembered as Cicely, Alaska, the setting for the famous series. Fans from around the world eagerly gather here to share stories, trivia and a little Alaskan spirit! The completely fan-organized get-together is also a non-profit venture. Proceeds from all the activities go to benefit community based groups and organizations in and around Roslyn. And there are plenty of activities! From episode discussions to trivia contests, a sock hop to script reading, you won’t be bored in "Cicely!" Don’t forget your moose head to enter the Running of the Moose fun-run/walk, and what’s a trip to Cicely without the "It happened in Roslyn" bus tour of a variety of "NX" filming locations? A parade, entertainment and a picnic in the park round out the festivities. As "Northern Exposure" fans say, "Cicely is a state of mind," and there is no better way to experience that than to join like-minded folk in Roslyn for some fandemonium, Cicely style!
