MOOSE DAYS CELEBRANTS WATCH PARADE, DODGE THROWN TOMATOESNearly 100 "Northern Exposure" fans turned out in Roslyn for Moose Days, three days of fun commemorating the show. Events culminated Sunday with the Parade of the Dead, a fictional Native American tradition in the television series. Parade participants dressed in black and painted their faces a ghostly white. A few carried tomatoes to throw at any white man watching. Fans lined Pennsylvania Avenue to watch the parade, duck flying tomatoes, and to get a glimpse of any "Northern Exposure" actors returning to town, including Jim Dunn, who played Hayden Keyes and drove his famous Hayden Keyes Firewood and Septic truck in the parade. Dunn, who lives in the Seattle area, said he was honored to be a part of the event. In addition to Dunn, a regular extra on the show, Chuck Charlie Greywolf, turned out for the event. Greywolf and Dunn took time to talk with "Northern Exposure" fans throughout the weekend event. |
